The Organist Shall:

1. Provide appropriate organ music for all regular Sunday Services and for the following extra services: Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, and Good Friday (if needed),

2. Rehearse once weekly with the Senior Choir, with the exception of the summer months

3. Practice with soloists or ensembles that provide special music during the summer months

4. Oversee the maintenance of the organ and report to the Worship & Music Committee regarding such maintenance

5. Meet regularly with the Pastor and Senior Choir Director to discuss Worship planning

6. Work with the Worship & Music Committee in the area of general planning of Messiah’s Worship and Music ministry

7. Attend staff meetings

8. Provide music for weddings at a fee agreed upon between the church and the organist

9. Provide music for funerals
